ADVOCACY ALERT
Tell Legislators to VOTE NO on HB 127

Our mission is to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy. Voter registration by organizations like LWV-Wake helps new citizens and others in our community exercise their right to vote. HB 127 threatens to end this activity by criminalizing those who aid in voter registration. This is an attack on our democratic values.

We encourage everyone to send emails and phone your legislators and members of the NC House Committee on Election Law and tell them this bill hurts marginalized communities who may not have the knowledge or resources to seek out voter registration processes.

A hearing for this bill has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd at 10am LB 1228/1327

As a result, LWVUS paused sending members the account verification email.

In the meantime, if you haven't watched the tutorial video, check it out below!
